CancerBuddy™ is a free app created to help
patients, survivors, and caregivers find community and connection while navigating treatment and survivorship.
People facing any cancer can be matched with others by diagnosis, treatment, side effects, age, interests, hospital, city or state, and more.
Based on your profile info, CancerBuddy recommends people who share your diagnosis, age, hospital, location and more.
You choose who to connect with, and when to interact. CancerBuddy exchanges are private and safe, always.
You can share goals, journal posts or photos with your community.
You can ask questions, share experiences, offer support and get help from specialists.
Connect with others as you navigate treatment together.
Find other survivors and become a mentor to others during treatment.
Find practical assistance and emotional support to help you while you help others.
We are a trusted partner for hospitals wanting to create online communities for patients. The app provides hospital systems and cancer advocacy groups a trusted platform to engage with their community and share resources.
Patients can choose to connect with other patients in the same age bracket who might be experiencing similar issues related to both treatment and their daily lives. We have found this is especially helpful for younger patients, or those who have a harder time finding community. The app also allows survivors and caregivers to easily connect with others in similar age ranges who understand the unique challenges of life after treatment or supporting a loved one.
Users have complete control over how much or how little information is shared with the app and other users. Group and group leaders are all verified individuals or subject matter experts.
With rising cancer rates, our work has never been more important. All donations for the Bone Marrow & Cancer Foundation go to services that directly help cancer patients, survivors, and families. The Foundation relies 100% on private donations. We depend on individual and corporate donors, as we don’t receive government or public funding. We offer innovative ways to contribute, and options for doubling the impact of donations. Thank you for your support, it means so much to so many patients.
